Minnesota’s Kevin Love emerged as the 3 Point Shootout winner during the 2012 NBA All Star Saturday Night at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida on February 25.
In
the first round, the power forward made a total of twenty (20)
three-point shots from five racks. He shot sixteen in the second round
and nineteen in the third.
The other finalists were Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder and James Jones of Miami Heat. Love successfully dethroned Jones, last year’s champion.
Shooters from the league’s stronger teams who didn’t make it after the first round include Ryan Anderson (Orlando Magic), Mario Chalmers (Miami Heat), and Anthony Morrow (New Jersey Nets).
The Three-Point Shootout was a contest held on the Saturday before the 2012 All-Star Game on Sunday, February 26, as part of this year’s All-Star Weekend.
