Dolphy, the King of Comedy, definitely needs our prayers. His son, Epi Quizon, reportedly said Dolphy is very weak and has been in and out of the hospital for medical treatment.
“He’s actually sick, he’s very weak, his immune system is down, and of course, he’s old, he’s 83," the actor in an interview aired on dzMM said.“Wala na siya sa hospital ngayon, nasa bahay na siya ngayon. He’s back, he’s recovering pero he’s really weak, he’s suffering, his immune system is really down.”
Dolphy’s weak immune system, Epi said, causes his father to get sick very easily.
“Yung isang maliit na virus na minsan nililigo lang natin, iniinda na ng katawan natin. ‘Yung sa kanya, isang ganun, it will turn out to be a full-blown pneumonia,” he said, according to the report.
“Tapos pag nao-ospital siya it takes weeks for the virus to leave,” he added.
The actor revealed that his dad’s heart is in perfect condition, but it’s his respiratory system that has a problem.
In spite of Dolphy’s health condition, Epi said the family remains “in high spirits.”
