Larry Martin, winner of the reality show “Biggest Loser” on ABS-CBN, has denied involvement in the murder of Sheriff Rommel Licmuan in Naga City.
In a statement released to the media, Martin said he is ready to face in court the case filed by the Naga City Police Office against him.
Martin, a former policeman, refused to get interviewed on cam as he was reportedly advised by his lawyer not to comment on the issue.
According to a TV Patrol report aired Wednesday, November 7, jealousy
was allegedly the reason why Martin’s cousin, Faustino Galvan, mauled
Licmuan to death.
Earlier, police authorities said Galvan’s girlfriend confessed that on the evening of September 7, she called Galvan up complaining about Licmuan who was allegedly making sexual advances at her at the bar.
The incident reportedly took place during the Peñafrancia Festival.
Martin became a suspect after witnesses purportedly saw him driving Galvan’s getaway vehicle. He refuted the accusation.
