Gangnam Style Most-Viewed Video on YouTube




Korean pop star Psy’s phenomenal hit song “Gangnam Style” has officially become the most-viewed video in YouTube history, besting Justin Bieber’s “Baby.”

Recognized earlier by Guinness World Records as the most liked video in YouTube history, Gangnam Style has over 812 million hits and 5.4 million likes while JB’s hit single has been viewed more than 804 million times as of this posting.

The rest of the Top 10 YouTube videos, according to data aggregator Starcount, are:

3. Jennifer Lopez ft. Pitbull, “On the Floor” with 624 million views
4. Eminem ft. Rihanna, “Love the Way You Lie” with 516 million views
5. LMFAO, “Party Rock Anthem” with 502 million views
6. Shakira, “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” with 500 million views
7. “Charlie bit my finger – again!” with 497 million views
8. Lady Gaga, “Bad Romance” with 497 million views
9. Michel Telo, “Ai Se Eu Te Pego” with 460 million views

Psy’s Gangnam Style most liked video in Youtube history




Guinness World Records officially proclaimed on September 20, 2012 that Gangnam Style by PSY is the Most Liked Youtube video in history.

According to its Youtube music video, ‘Gangnam Style’ is composed solely by PSY himself from lyrics to choreography and is the carrier single of his sixth album simply named as PSY6. Withs strong addictive beats and simple dance steps that captured the attention of many, Gangnam Style has recorded 2,277,478 likes with only 99,162 dislikes as of this writing.

LMFAO’s ‘Party Rock Anthem’ (1,574,963 likes), Justin’s Bieber’s ‘Baby’ (1,327,147 likes) and Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’ (1,245,641 likes) trails Gangnam Style in the most liked video category.

Aside from the record likes, Gangnam Style is also the most watched K-Pop video in Youtube with over 200 million views.



Guinness World Records Dan Barrett said: “In years past it was unthinkable that something would be viewed a hundred million times, and now “Gangnam Style” has achieved more than twice this figure in just 3 months on YouTube.”
