Congratulations to the Miami Heat, the 2012 NBA Champions!

Miami displayed how much they’ve learned from experience in the past NBA Finals as they defeated Oklahoma 4 wins against 1 loss in their best-of-seven series.

Miami dominated the high-scoring Game 5 held at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida on Thursday, June 21.

OKC lacked defense and allowed open three pointers and deep penetration by Miami.

The Heat had an offensive explosion at the third period and got the biggest lead of the game by 27 points.

Lebron James, Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade have shown better performances. Mario Chalmers and Shane Battier also contributed, but the most remarkable man of the night was Mike Miller who successfully made 7 out of 8 three-point shots in the entire game.

James had thirteen assists in the game; all in all he got another triple double.

Final score: 121 - 106 Miami wins!

Jessica Sanchez will sing US Anthem in NBA Finals

American Idol Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez is set to sing, for the third time, the US national anthem before a big crowd. This time, it will be for NBA finals on Tuesday night (Wednesday morning, Manila time).

Jessica Sanchez
The Mexican-Filipina singer will sing The Star-Spangled Banner before the start of the first game of Oklahoma City Thunder versus Miami Heat in the NBA finals. This will definitely be in front of a big crowd as thousands of NBA supporters and enthusiasts will come to witness the game. The game will even be televised on various TV channels around the globe.

On her official Twitter account, Sanchez confirmed the news herself when she was asked by one of her followers on what to expect from her in the coming days. Sanchez replied: “Well NBA tomorrow, #idoltour, and working on upcoming album :) .”

This will actually be Sanchez’s third time singing the US national anthem, following the PBS Memorial Day concert in Washington D.C. last May 28 and the controversial Pacquiao vs Bradley boxing match last June 9 (June 10, Manila time).

Sanchez said that she also hopes to sing our own national anthem, Lupang Hinirang, before a big crowd soon. Hearing this from her delighted her Filipino fans and kababayans.

Miami Heat Wins - Advances to 2012 NBA Finals

Chris Bosh and Lebron James had big shots including three pointers in the final quarter firing up the Miami Heat, defeating Boston Celtics 101-88 in their do-or-die Game 7 in the 2012 NBA Eastern Conference Finals.

Dwayne Wade also did well and had an excellent performance in the offensive boards. His shooting was also outstanding. Wade made a clincher fade away shot and got fouled for a three-point opportunity, which he successfully completed, down three minutes in the final period.

The crowd went delirious when the momentum shifted to the hometeam in the fourth quarter as the big 3 picked up their rhythm.

With the win, the Heat advance to the 2012 NBA Finals where they will meet the 2012 Western Conference Finals champions, the Oklahoma Thunder.
