Junior Masterchef Pinoy Edition, ABS-CBN’s top-rating kiddie cooking show, has declared Kyle Imao as the competition’s Grand Winner on Saturday.
In the first challenge, the Final 4 were given a ‘limited budget’.
The kiddie cooks were given P300 each to market ingredients for a ‘budget recipe’. They had to serve up practical and easy-to-cook dishes from affordable ingredients.
Average points garnered by the finalists from the judges were as follows:
- Kyle Adrian “Kyle” Imao, 12 years old, Marikina - 22.7 pts.
- Philip Dave “Philip” Amarillo, 13 years old, Cebu - 20.7 pts.
- Mika Kristina “Mika” Tanaka, 11 years old, Quezon City - 19.0 pts.
- Antonio Carlos “Jobim” Jalbuena, 13 years old, Makati - 16.7 pts.
The scores obtained by the finalists from guests were:
- Kyle - 22.1 pts.
- Philip - 21.9 pts.
- Mika - 23.0 pts.
- Jobim - 19.7 pts.
The final scores were:
- 1st Junior MasterChef - Kyle: 91.8 pts.
- 2nd Place - Philip: 91.1 pts.
- 3rd Place - Mika: 84 pts.
- 4th Place - Jobim: 73.4 pts.
Meanwhile, P500,000 was awarded to Philip, and P250,000 each to Mika and Jobim. Each of them also received the latest microwave oven model from Samsung.
Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition is a competitive cooking game show in the Philippines adapted out of the British show Junior MasterChef.
The show’s grand finale dubbed “The Live Cook-Off” was held at the Treston International College at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig and aired live on ABS-CBN on Saturday, February 18, 2012.
