Magic 89.9 disc jockeys Mo Twister, Tin Gamboa and Mia Bayuga were suspended on Wednesday for starting the Twitter hashtag #charicepempengcosextape (Charice Pempengco Sex Tape).
The hashtag, which was meant “as a joke” at their radio show “GoodTimes,” became the number 1 trending topic nationwide on the social networking site.
Magic 89.9 in an official statement reportedly said that the station “does not condone what happened this morning, May 9, 2012 on GoodTimes” and that “the DJs involved shall be suspended from boardwork for two weeks without pay as consequence of their actions.”
Meanwhile, Charice in her verified Twitter account reportedly posted that she mulls filing a case against Mo. The latter, on the other hand, apologized to the singer for what he has done.
“I want to take the opportunity to apologize to Charice for a stupid & cruel joke on our show today. We attempted to be funny at her. We apologize Charice for our stupid behavior and immature attempt to generate laughs. You have worked so very hard, not just for yourself. @suzy899, @Mia899 and I would like to apologize publicly tomorrow on our radio show to Charice and her fans,” the controversial DJ posted on Twitter.
The alleged Charice sex video does not exist at all, her camp reportedly said.
