The Mexican-Filipina singer will sing The Star-Spangled Banner before the start of the first game of Oklahoma City Thunder versus Miami Heat in
the NBA finals. This will definitely be in front of a big crowd as
thousands of NBA supporters and enthusiasts will come to witness the
game. The game will even be televised on various TV channels around the
globe.
On her official Twitter account, Sanchez confirmed the news herself
when she was asked by one of her followers on what to expect from her in
the coming days. Sanchez replied: “Well NBA tomorrow, #idoltour, and
working on upcoming album .”
This will actually be Sanchez’s third time singing the US national anthem, following the PBS Memorial Day concert in Washington D.C. last May 28 and the controversial Pacquiao vs Bradley boxing match last June 9 (June 10, Manila time).
Sanchez said that she also hopes to sing our own national anthem, Lupang Hinirang, before a big crowd soon. Hearing this from her delighted her Filipino fans and kababayans.
