NBA star Ray Allen is leaving the Boston Celtics to join the Miami Heat, the latter team’s owner Micky Arison posted on his Twitter account.
“Its 2:30 a.m. in London and I was just woken up with great news. Welcome to the family #20!!,” Arison tweeted with a reference to Allen’s No. 20 jersey.
Citing multiple league sources, a Yahoo! Sports report tells us that Allen has committed to joining the Heat.
According to the article, Allen met with Miami Heat officials Thursday, July 5.
Miami Heat is full of talents. With Ray Allen added to the 2012 champs that already got the big three—Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh—playing for the team, the 2012-2013 season will be more exciting for Heat fans.
