Robert Blair Carabuena went to Metro Manila Development Authority(MMDA) main office Thursday morning to deliver his public apology to MMDA and Sonny Fabros.
“Ako po si Robert Blair Carabuena, na kusang pumarito sa
tanggapan ng MMDA, upang personal na humingi ng tawad at paumanhin kay
Ginoong Saturnino Fabros, sa kanyang anim na anak, sa inyo po
Kagalang-galang na Chairman…at sa lahat ng traffic enforcers ng MMDA sa
nangyari noong ika-11 ng Agosto,” he said in Tagalog.
Carabuena was the HR Manager of Philip Morris who was caught on-cam
slapping a traffic enforcer Fabros after the former caught the latter
violating traffic rules. Carabuena was an instant hit on social networks
for all the wrong reasons, earning the ire of Filipinos online.
MMDA filed charges against Carabuena, and asked Land Transportation Office (LTO) for the revocation of his driving license.
In his public apology, Carabuena asked that he be given a second chance, and be allowed to drive for it is needed in his livelihood. Read full text of Carabuena’s public apology in Tagalog:
