If you’re having a hard time activating Sun Cellular GPRS, then just follow these steps.
The first step is to activate your GPRS and handset settings. Text ACTIVATE to 2300.
If you’re unable to receive the handset settings, you may choose to
configure your handset settings manually. Just select your handset model
in the drop down list below and follow the instructions in the file.
If you don’t want to incur unintentional Mobile Internet costs, then
exit your web browser after surfing to cut the GPRS/Internet Connection.
Also, set your phone’s GPRS/Internet Connection to MANUAL to avoid
automatic connection.
Sun GPRS
Look for the Data Connection on the Settings menu.
Edit the connection by pressing the Action button.
Select GPRS Connection then select Menu then Add. You are required to provide the following data on the required field:
Description: Sun GPRS
Connects to: The Internet
Access point: minternet
Then press Done.
On the Data connection, select Sun GPRS under Internet connection.
When you’re already finished, press Done.
Sun WAP GPRS
Look for the Data Connection on the Settings menu.
Edit the connection by pressing the Action button. Select GPRS Connection then select Menu then Add. You are required to provide the following data on the required field:
Description: Sun WAP GPRS
Connects to: The Internet
Access point: MMS
Then press Done.
On the Data connection, select Sun WAP GPRS under WAP connection.
When you’re already finished, press Done.
The last thing you need to do is to create SUN proxy. Crate a proxy connection
Description: Sun WAP Proxy
Connects from: The internet
Connects to: WAP network Proxy (name/Port): 193.113.200.195
Type: WAP
Then activate GPRS. To activate GPRS: Create a new text message, then type “ACTIVATE” and send it to 2300.
That’s it! If you follow these steps then you will be able to activate your Sun Cellular GPRS.
