May 1 2012 Labor Day Job Fair and Livelihood Fair Pre-Registration, Venue, Requirements




Part of the 110th Celebration of Labor Day on May 1, simultaneous job and livelihood fairs will be held at the World Trade Center (for Metro Manila jobseekers) and select provinces nationwide. More than 100,000 applicants may be hired at the World Trade Center event alone according the DOLE Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz.

The theme of the 2012 Labor Day celebration is ‘Pagtutulungan, Pagbabago, Disenteng Trabaho‘ which aims to fast-track the matching of jobseekers and employers, particularly in identified areas where skills are highly in demand or available through the conduct of Job and Livelihood Fairs.
Sec. Baldoz reminded job seekers to prepare their requirements prior to going to these livelihood fairs. Among the documents required are resume or curriculum vitae; 2 x 2 ID pictures (bring extra copies for multiple job applications; certificate of employment, for those formerly employed; diploma and/or transcript of records; and authenticated birth certificate.

Applicants should fill up registration forms available during the event. To avoid further delay during the event, applicants may already pre-register online through http//www.phil-job.net or go to the nearest Public Employment Service Office (PESO) to fill up the application forms.
The 2012 Labor Day Job and Livelihood Fairs are open to all unemployed, skilled and unskilled workers, fresh college graduates, graduates of training institutions, displaced workers and employees seeking advancement.
