Many have fallen victim to the “Who View Your Profile” scam which sends requests to install a Facebook application.
The app’s claim that you can see who has viewed your Facebook Profile or who has been stalking you is false.
According to hoax-slayer.com, this rogue application and similar ones “are designed to fool Facebook users into visiting spam survey websites, signing up for expensive SMS or online services or parting with their personal information.”
