Controversial movie and television actor Charlie Sheen has quit Twitter on Friday the 13th. A day before shutting down his profile, Sheen tweeted “Reach for the stars, everyone.”
He followed it up with a farewell message, saying “Dogspeed, Cadre. Out.”
According to the Chicago Tribune, the sign-off post had an attached photo taken from an airplane cockpit showing a bottle of Tabasco sauce on the dashboard.
Sheen, who got fired from his role on Two and a Half Men by CBS and Warner Bros. in March last year, had around eight million followers on the social networking site before he deleted his account.
He made a television comeback this year via Anger Management, the spin-off of the movie of the same title, where he plays Charlie Goodson, a therapist specializing in alternative anger-management practices.
Recent reports said Sheen could be seating down as judge for American Idol as the show’s possible replacement of Aerosmith vocalist Steven Tyler who earlier this week announced that he’s quitting Idol to focus more on his band.
