Bench on Coco Martin's "Naked Truth" Scandal

Bench has released an official statement regarding some elements of their "The Naked Truth Denim and Underwear Show" last Saturday that were seen as offensive.

"We at Bench apologize to the public for all the offensive elements of the show, 'The Naked Truth,'" the brand said in the statement it posted on Instagram on Tuesday. "We will take all these concerns seriously and will serve as a lesson learned when we plan our next show."

The women's rights group Gabriela earlier condemned the act in the fashion show where actor Coco Martin walked the runway holding a female model on a leash.

On Facebook, Gabriela's Liza Maza described the act as "degrading and dehumanizing portrayal of women" which Bench should apologize for.

Meanwhile, Bench also mentioned in its statement that they "shall continue to uphold the dignity of women and our commitment will remain so."

Coco Martin for 'Bench: The Naked Truth'

Coco Martin will be at the "Bench: The Naked Truth Denim & Underwear Show" at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena on September 19.

But will he be showing some skin this time? Or will he be wearing a tank top just like the last time in Bench Universe?

Yes, Coco is hot even with clothes on. But the biennial event is a "denim and underwear show." And if he got one of the loudest cheers in 2012 despite the tank top, I'm sure the crowd will be ready to shout their lungs out this year if he'd tease them a little.

Coco Martin’s migration to Italy marks “Walang Hanggan” history

Philippine’s no. 1 TV program, Walang Hanggan continues its winning streak with new milestones under its belt – a platinum record award for its official soundtrack and its highest national TV rating so far since it premiered last January.

The episode last Monday (May 21) made a mark in the history of Walang Hanggan as it garnered its highest national TV rating with 38.4%, or 22 points higher than the 16.7% national TV rating of compared to its rival program in GMA, Legacy.

The said episode showcased non-stop compelling scenes including Daniel's (Coco Martin) emotional announcement of his migration to Italy and Marco's (Richard Gomez) accidental discovery of the authentic DNA result that confirmed that Daniel is his real son.

Further proving Walang Hanggan’s television supremacy is the platinum status of its official sound track after selling more than 20,000 copies nationwide in less than four months. The album carried the show's well-loved theme songs including Hanggang sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan by Gary Valenciano, Hanggan by Angeline Quinto, and Dadalhin by Bryan Termulo.

Meanwhile, the story of Walang Hanggan intensifies even more after the most-watched confirmation of Daniel's real identity. How will the truth change the lives of the people around Daniel? What will happen when Emily discovers that her trusted friend Miguel (Nonie Buencamino) is the man behind the fake DNA result? Now that Daniel decided not to push through with his migration, will Katerina (Julia Montes) find the courage to fight for her one true love and leave her husband Nathan (Paulo Avelino)?
