An upcoming television series to be offered by ABS-CBN this summer is expected to make it big on Prime Time Bida. Aryana is the third drama produced by the Kapamilya network with a mermaid for the lead role. The 1st two, Marina and Mutya, were both top-rater at their times.
Aryana is about a teenager girl who grows her magical fish
tail when her legs come into contact with water. The teaser released by
ABS-CBN implied that the kikay and happy-go luckyAryana comes from a rich family.
Ella Cruz, a Goin’ Bulilit alumnus, will play the title role of Aryana. This
will be Cruz first ever leading role in ABS-CBN, following her role as
the young Agnes (Cristine Reyes) in the currently airing ABS-CBN soap, Dahil sa Pag-ibig,
opposite Francis Magundayao who played young Alfred (Piolo Pascual).
However, including her roles in the rival network GMA-7, this will be
the 2nd lead role of Cruz, as she was one of the lead roles in Kapuso’s
fantaserye, Super Twins, along with Nicole Dulalia, Nadine Samonte and Jennylyn Mercado.
In Aryana, the teen actress will be paired with Paul Salas. Joining them in the casts are Pokwang, Tonton Gutierrez, Desiree del Valle, Laurice Guillen, Tetchie Agbayani, Rustica Carpio, and Lotlot de Leon.
Aryana, directed by Erick Salud and Lino Cayetano, will premiere this summer on ABS-CBN Prime Time Bida.
